About the Role
Assist with the administration of language assessments to Latino preschool children (training provided) at preschools in the Greensboro and High Point areas. Responsibilities include data entry and adherence to lab procedures and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Administer language assessments to Latino preschool children.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Follow lab procedures and protocols closely.
Requirements
- Experience with children.
- Experience with data collection and entry.
- Ability to closely follow lab procedures and protocols.
- Native-like fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation to and from preschools.
- CITI certification (UNCG Basic Course/Student Researcher Modules/Human Research) or willingness to complete certification prior to starting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in communication science disorders, early childhood education, education, or psychology.
Skills
- Repetitive hand movements and dexterity.
- Vision skills including color distinction, visual inspection, and preparing/analyzing figures.
- Eye-hand coordination.
- Hearing and talking.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, lift 0-60 lbs., push/pull, climb stairs, bend, squat, crawl, and reach.
Pay
$15/hr
Schedule
- Temporary, part-time (0.50 FTE).
- Non-exempt (hourly).
Work Environment
- Driving a car/truck (standard or automatic transmission).
- Work occurs both inside and outside.
