About the role

We are a leading manufacturer in the steel building products and construction materials industry, serving customers throughout North America with high-quality engineered steel framing and building solutions. We are seeking a hands-on Bilingual Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift manufacturing operations and play a key role in driving safety, quality, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all 2nd shift production activities, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production employees while promoting a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Cook up, plan, staff, and optimize workflow across assigned production lines
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Conduct safety audits, floor inspections, and hazard assessments while ensuring compliance with OSHA, PPE, lockout/tagout, and machine guarding requirements
  • Maintain production metrics, downtime, changeovers, scrap, and quality performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with maintenance, quality, operations, and HR teams to support plant objectives and employee development
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training documentation, production reports, and performance metrics
  • Perform employee coaching, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution as needed
  • Review and approve employee timecards, attendance, and time-off requests

Requirements

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, production supervision, or plant operations experience
  • Experience leading hourly production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, lockout/tagout, PPE, and machine safety practices
  • Leverage Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, or Six Sigma experience to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance metrics
  • Proven ability to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance metrics
  • Experience with employee coaching, training, performance management, and workforce development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience)
