Bilingual Patient Service Specialist
About the Role
Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience. Answers phone. Utilizes medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients. Performs insurance verifications, referrals and pre-authorizations. Schedules patients appointments and checks them in at arrival. Collects co-pays. Performs daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits. Handles patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing. Completes daily billing reports and works with central billing office (CBO). Communicates and works as a team with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience. Performs other duties as assigned.
Status & Schedule
Full-Time. Hours: Monday - Friday 8-6.
Pay
$18.50-22 hourly depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED is required
- Customer service experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual
- Knowledge of insurance verification
- Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift
- Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) throughout a work day/shift
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
- Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
