Bilingual Office Paraprofessional (Non-Instructional)

About the role
This is a 7.0 hour per day (7.5 hour work day) position at Woodcrest Spanish Immersion Elementary. The successful candidate will greet families and guests, answer phones and direct phone calls, assist with attendance, participate in safety team, perform typical clerical duties with accuracy in a school setting, and provide student support throughout the building when needed.

Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills, creating a welcoming environment for students, families, and staff
- Professional, friendly, positive, and cooperative work style
- Ability to work with many types of people in various circumstances
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Previous clerical experience (office management, secretarial, or bookkeeping) in an education setting preferred
- Above average word processing/keyboarding and other clerical skills
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Infinite Campus
- Training and experience in the use of computers and other technology equipment
- Ability to act in a leadership role and independently initiate and follow through on tasks, under minimal supervision
- Effective oral and written communication skills in working with students, families, and community representatives, and in collaborating with school personnel
- Hold either a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Completed 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits and/or AA degree OR passing score on the ParaPro Assessment (available in the Human Resources Office and can be taken after a job offer is obtained)
- Ability to pass pre-work physical and complete PCA training
Qualifications
Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) preferred.
Pay
$20.75-$24.20/hr. Additional $0.75/hr differential if employee holds a bachelor's degree.
