Union / Classification: OAPSE 120 / Educational Paraprofessionals. Reports to: Building Administrator(s) and/or Executive Director for the Office of Exceptional Children or designee.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 6.75 hours/day
- 189 days per year (workdays for new-hires are pro-rated to date-of-hire)
Pay
Starting hourly rate: $18.75 per hour (2026/27 school year).
Requirements
- Must possess proficient written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish to assist Spanish-speaking students and their families.
- Required certification(s) must be properly certified under the provisions of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 3319.074 by evidencing one of the following:
- Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required); OR
- Two years of college totaling 48 or more semester hours (official transcripts required); OR
- Passing score of 456 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment (copy of ParaPro Assessment results).
- Must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
