Bilingual Mental Health Therapist II - License Preferred

About the Role

This position provides outpatient therapy across the lifespan to children, youth, adults, couples, and families. Services are uniquely tailored to the needs of each individual or family, offering a wide range of interventions including:

• Diagnostic mental health assessments
• Individual, family, play, couples, and group psychotherapy
• Connection to case management support and psychiatric services
• Crisis intervention
• Coordination and ongoing communication with appropriate collaterals

The individuals and families served present with a broad range of bio-psycho-social and mental health needs, including trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment, family dynamics, and substance use. This position also maintains compliance with documentation standards for all work performed.

About El Centro

El Centro is a multicultural group of providers and supportive staff offering Spanish/English bilingual integrated outpatient services across the lifespan (ages 5 years and up). We bring a trauma-informed, strengths-based, relational, and culturally responsive lens to our work with families from Latino/a/x, Hispanic, and Chicano/a/x communities. Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic mental health assessments, individual/family/play/couples/group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management support.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans, following up as clinically indicated.
• Facilitate growth and development with an emphasis on strengths, culture, resiliency, and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support those served.
• Coordinate services for individuals/families with supplemental needs in psychiatric, case management, and medical domains.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with WellPower standards.
• Participate in team/department meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions.
• Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other human services field required.
• Licensed or within 6 months of licensure preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in mental health or human services preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, drive, and operate standard office equipment (phone, computer, fax, copier/printer).
• Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to give, receive, and analyze information; formulate work plans; prepare written materials; and articulate goals.
• Must understand and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Schedule

40 hours per week. The team currently works a hybrid schedule, with most full-time team members working at least 3 days per week in person. In-person work is based at WellPower’s Dahlia Campus for Health and Wellbeing (3401 Eudora St, Denver, CO 80207) and office-based co-locations at community partner sites.

Pay

• Mental Health Therapist II (Master’s Level): $31.25/hour – $65,000/year
• LPC/LMFT/LCSW: $34.78/hour – $72,342.40/year
• LAC Differential: +$1.00/hour
• Language Differential: +$1.00–$2.50/hour for bilingual proficiency in Spanish or ASL

The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, with most candidates placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.
