Bilingual Mental Health Therapist

About the role

The Staff Therapist provides clinical services to children, adolescents, and/or adults to help Josselyn achieve its vision of Mental Health For All. The clinician is accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

New therapists hired in our Waukegan location are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus after successful completion of 90 days. Eligibility is based on meeting certain terms and conditions.

Pay

$52,000–$60,000 salary (determined by the clinical director based on experience) plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

• Option 1: Monday–Thursday — 3 nights 11 AM–9 PM and 1 night 11 AM–8 PM
• Option 2: Tuesday–Saturday — 2 day shifts, 2 nights until 9 PM, and Saturday 9 AM–2 PM

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and client-centered consultation to clients and their families
• Maintains 63% direct service hours per month
• Keeps detailed, confidential records of client sessions, progress, assessments, and treatment plans
• Creates IMCANS (IATP) Assessment within 30 days of initial client meeting, updates as needed, and ensures updates are completed prior to the six-month due date
• Completes the LOCUS in a timely fashion
• Enters all Progress Notes into the medical record within three business days of service
• Keeps EMR calendar and other primary sources up to date
• Coordinates care with other clinical staff and external providers
• Attends and participates in clinical presentations and all required meetings
• Responds to all outreach regarding client fees and payments
• Participates in Accreditation and Certification processes, committee work, strategic planning, and community-related services as appropriate

Requirements

• Demonstrated fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing at a professional level)
• Clinically related graduate degree (M.A. in Counseling, MSW, MSMFT, Psy.D, Ph.D in Psychology, or a degree qualifying for QMHP in Illinois)
• Three professional references reflecting ability to perform clinical work
