Bilingual Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Community Maintenance
  • Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
  • Auxiliary in the make-ready process
  • Perform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning
  • Maintain preventative maintenance program
  • Manage well-organized and stocked maintenance shop
  • Assist with hazard communications program
  • Participate in unit inspections
  • Report any observed violations of community rules and regulations
  • Utilize property resources, equipment and supplies economically
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities requested by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager

Customer & Resident Relations

  • Manage excellent customer service
  • Monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness
  • Projects a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
  • Enforce policies of the community

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another
  • Frequently ascend and descend ladders, stairs, ramps, step stools, etc.
  • Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces, traverse flat and uneven terrain
  • Work in an overhead position and/or reach, adjust or move objects of 100+ lbs. in all directions
  • Lift and place objects of 100+ lbs.
  • Communicate with others to exchange information
  • Repeat motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Operate machinery and power tools
  • Operate motor vehicles and/or golf carts
  • Absorb information presented orally and visually, including ability to perceive details and recognize patterns
  • Identify and inspect objects and areas
  • Exposed to outdoor weather elements (wind, precipitation)
  • Exposed to hazardous chemicals
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, night hours (on-call property emergencies)

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements

Salary Range

$18 per hour to $23 per hour
