QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Command of the English
  • Knowledge of pertinent academic areas and learning situations
  • Knowledge of the general needs and behaviors of high school students
  • Ability to understand the needs of high school students and to relate to them in a learning and recreational situation
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt effective course of action
  • Supervision of students in a variety of situations
  • Establish and maintain accurate classroom records and files
  • Operation of standard office equipment including computer keyboard, copy machine, tape recorder, and projector
  • Maintain calm and patience in stressful situations
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Adequate typing and computer skills as required for clerical duties
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties
  • General clerical experience and work involving the supervision of students is desirable
  • Completion of the twelfth grade is required, preferably supplemented by college level courses
  • Demonstration of familiarity with a minority culture is required
  • Must pass the District's bilingual certification test in oral, reading and writing proficiency in SPANISH

DUTIES OF POSITION:

  • Assists teachers in the instruction, supervision and training of individuals or groups of students by performing a variety of instructional support and student care activities
  • Performs a variety of related duties to provide an effective learning environment

STARTING SALARY: $2,315.15 (monthly)

NUMBER OF MONTHS: 9.4 (to begin August 12, 2026)

NUMBER OF HOURS: 6 (daily working hours 8:35 a.m. to 3:19 p.m.)
