About the Role
Ascend Healthcare is seeking a Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) to provide counseling and therapy treatment to patients remotely via telemedicine throughout Iowa. The organization follows a "say yes" first clinical model, focusing on treating patients where they are and guiding them along their journey to recovery and stabilization.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care using evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation, Trauma Therapy, Addiction Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Bereavement/Grief Counseling
- Implement treatment modalities in both individual and group therapy settings with a focus on engaging patients in their treatment plan
- Review and sign patient clinical psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents in a timely manner
- Maintain clinic records including documentation of all services and patient activities performed as part of the service delivery process
- Ensure documentation complies with best clinical practices, contracts, regulatory requirements, and other legal standards
- Conduct crisis intervention for individuals and families based on the individual's safety plan
- Participate in regular case planning with the multidisciplinary team to ensure clinically appropriate patient disposition
- Participate in individual and group supervision as required
- Participate in ongoing education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improve competency
- Provide case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted mental health license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) in state of primary residence and state of medical services being provided (must be active or willing to obtain an Iowa license)
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Willingness to work primarily with pediatric patients

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fully remote position with possible in-person attendance as company needs arise
- Prolonged sitting for extended periods during working hours
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for using computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
- Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence
- Sufficient hearing ability for participating in phone calls or virtual meetings
- Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions with reliable internet connectivity
Pay
Base compensation range: $75,000–$85,000 with primary residence in Iowa
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (5, 8-hour shifts or 4, 10-hour shifts available)
