About the role

As the HR Generalist, you will partner closely with employees and front-line leaders to support full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, workforce planning, and day-to-day HR operations. You'll serve as a trusted resource for managers, provide guidance on HR policies and best practices, assist with performance and staffing initiatives, and help ensure a positive employee experience across the organization. The position offers broad exposure to all facets of human resources, significant interaction with business leaders, and the chance to contribute to a company undergoing continued growth and expansion.

Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Prior HR experience in manufacturing or adjacent industry is preferred. This role is five days a week on-site in Suffolk County, Long Island.

Responsibilities

  • Handle employee relations, including addressing concerns and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, from job postings to onboarding new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Administer employee benefits and respond to related inquiries.
  • Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Requirements

  • A solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal compliance.
  • Experience with recruitment processes and employee relations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative approach to working with teams and individuals.
