Bilingual Full Cycle Recruiter
Position Summary
A growing infrastructure and construction services organization is seeking a bilingual Recruiter to join their Talent Acquisition team. This position will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring of qualified candidates for both field and corporate positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit for high-volume hourly and professional positions, including Construction Laborers, Heavy Equipment Operators, CDL Drivers, Foremen, Project Managers, Estimators, Diesel Mechanics, Safety Professionals, and other skilled trade and field positions.
- Source candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
- Develop and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Conduct phone and virtual interviews to assess qualifications, experience, availability, and interest.
- Communicate job requirements, compensation, schedules, travel requirements, and company expectations to candidates.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Candidate Management
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Follow up with candidates regarding interview results, offers, onboarding requirements, and start dates.
- Provide a positive and professional candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information within the applicant tracking system.
- Hiring & Onboarding
- Coordinate hiring requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, physicals, MVR checks, hiring verification, and required certifications.
- Aid in offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate new-hire start dates with hiring managers and HR.
- Ensure all required hiring documentation is completed prior to start date.
- Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding as needed.
- Partnership with Operations
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, fleet leadership, safety teams, and other department leaders to understand current and upcoming staffing needs.
- Maintain regular communication with hiring managers regarding open positions and candidate activity.
- Help identify recruiting challenges and recommend solutions.
- Support workforce planning during periods of increased project activity.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- 5+ years of recruiting or staffing experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting for construction, skilled trades, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, or similar industries preferred.
- Experience with high-volume recruiting strongly preferred.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with candidates at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, job boards, Microsoft Office, and other recruiting technologies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hiring managers.
- Comfortable recruiting both hourly field employees and professional-level candidates.
Preferred Experience
- Recruiting heavy equipment operators, CDL drivers, laborers, mechanics, foremen, or construction personnel.
- Recruiting Spanish-speaking candidates.
- Experience with Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, ZipRecruiter, or similar sourcing platforms.
- Experience with ATS and onboarding systems.
- Knowledge of construction and underground utility terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
