Bilingual Financial Center Consultant I (Teller) - Northside
About the Role
Join EECU at our Northside location as a Bilingual Financial Center Consultant I (Teller). You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes members, assists with transactions, and connects them with the right products and solutions to support their financial goals. This role thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where you’ll make a real impact by helping members daily.
Responsibilities
- Deliver great member experiences through constant personal interaction.
- Provide a complete service and sales experience, exceeding monthly sales goals.
- Perform teller functions such as deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
- Solve operational issues and proactively support branch marketing initiatives.
- Build exceptional rapport with members while providing excellence in service.
- Manage lobby coverage, including greeting members, answering calls, and directing members to appropriate staff.
- Comply with all Federal and State rules and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and privacy regulations.
- Attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
Requirements
- One to two years of experience in a retail or financial environment with a focus on service and rapport-building.
- Daily cash handling experience with the ability to balance without overages or shortages.
- Strong communication skills for comfortable and professional member interactions.
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, and a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong listening skills, approachability, problem-solving, and empathy.
- Relevant computer skills, solid math, and written communication abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual (Spanish) – able to read, write, and speak fluently.
- Good credit history (applicants will be evaluated in compliance with applicable law).
- Must pass a background check, including employment, criminal, and drug screening.
Schedule
40-hour work week. Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:15 PM, Saturdays: 8:45 AM–1:15 PM.
