Bilingual Family Support Specialist - RTFT

About the role

The Family Support Specialist provides direct services to children and their families, including conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing these plans. Responsibilities also include discharge planning, case management, and collaborating with community groups.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive assessments and engagement
• Develops treatment plans and contracts for services
• Implements treatment plans, modifying as necessary
• Discharge planning, including follow-up treatment and community connections
• Provides case management services
• Works with community groups in collaborative ventures
• Completes clinical documentation and reports
• Maintains collaborative relationships with other community agencies
• Responds to client and programmatic needs as a team member
• Represents The Village in community groups or committees

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services field or BSW
• Three years' experience in a comparable position in a human services agency
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexible and able to multi-task
• Cultural competency to serve targeted populations
• Bilingual skills preferred
• Experience working with inner-city children
• Commitment to Results/Performance Based Accountability

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to drive or obtain transportation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications
• Solid general computer skills
• Familiarity with specific applications used by The Village a plus

Pay

$48,000 starting annual salary, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months of employment.
