About the role
To join our team as a Bilingual Home Energy Assessor (Senior Field Specialist).
Responsibilities
- Deliver residential energy assessments and support energy-saving home improvement projects for customers in Clackamas County, Oregon.
- Combine hands-on home inspections with customer service built on trust, clear communication, and accountability.
- Complete in-home energy assessments, document opportunities to save energy and lower utility costs, and support weatherization and HVAC upgrade projects from start to finish.
- Congratulate contractors, review bids and invoices for eligibility, and occasionally engage in community outreach to help homeowners learn about available programs.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- BPI Certification (minimum requirement is BPI Building Analyst Technician)
- Pass a background check and drug screening (including THC)
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of relevant work experience in home performance, energy efficiency, inspections, or other in-home customer-facing roles
- Knowledge of residential building systems, HVAC, and energy efficiency measures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish (required)
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical information in plain language
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working independently in the field and managing a schedule
Skills
- Ability to conduct home energy assessments and basic quality checks in occupied homes
- Ability to communicate clearly with English- and Spanish-speaking homeowners in person, by phone, email, and written reports
- Ability to inspect insulation, weatherization, and existing electrical or natural gas HVAC equipment
- Ability to document findings and write Home Energy Assessments that outline repairs and upgrades
- Ability to review contractor bids and invoices for program eligibility
- Ability to submit reports, forms, and invoices accurately and on time
- Ability to participate in occasional community outreach events to explain energy-saving programs

Pay
Target compensation: $75,000 to $85,000
Clearance range: $62,700.00 - $94,100.00
Currency: USD
Schedule
This is a remote position with frequent field work.
Ideal candidates live in the Clackamas County region or Portland Metro.
