Bilingual DLI Elementary Teacher
About the role
The Sun Prairie Area School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and equity-focused Bilingual Teacher for its Dual Language Immersion Program for the 2026-27 School Year. The position will be based at Westside and Northside Elementary Schools, with Meadow View Elementary joining the program in the 2025-26 school year.
Responsibilities
- Teach core subjects in both Spanish and English using a 50/50 model
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative bilingual educational strategies
- Assess and support student progress in both languages
- Participate in professional development opportunities related to dual language immersion education
- Engage with families and the broader community to promote bilingualism and cultural awareness
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a core subject area with additional coursework leading to a Bilingual certification
- Valid Wisconsin teaching certificates #395, #023 (ESL and Bilingual/Bicultural License), and (Elementary)
- Demonstrated Spanish and English fluency (oral and written)
- Experience working with a diverse student population preferred
