Job Responsibilities
- Answers incoming telephone calls and greets customers.
- Handles multiple customers and customer requests simultaneously.
- Aids in product selection by asking questions and actively listening.
- Troubleshoots and answers technical questions about products.
- Identifies and sources products for customers using various tools.
- Enters sales orders into the point-of-sale computer system.
- Processes customer returns and warranties according to company guidelines.
- Follows up promptly on customer requests and communications.
- Communicates with customers about potential delays or issues.
- Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and appearance in the showroom.
- Solves customer complaints and disputes professionally.
- Follows company pricing and credit guidelines.
- Prepares and issues sales quotes.
- Follows up on quotes to secure sales.
- Encourages customer satisfaction and store profitability.
- Recommends additional items and promotions to customers.
- Communicates sales lead information to outside sales staff and management.
- Promotes surplus, sale, discounted, and obsolete inventory.
- Communicates changes in product demand and inventory to purchasing or management.
Requirements
- Conversational English proficiency.
- Spanish conversational fluency preferred.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. and at least two years of related experience in the HVAC/R industry.
- Two years of experience as a Sales and Service Associate in the HVAC/R or similar industry preferred.
