Bilingual Case Manager - Part Time

Responsibilities

  • Provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution to households experiencing domestic violence or homelessness (proficiency in English and Spanish required).
  • Maintain confidentiality of shelter, employees, and client information per Family Tree policies.
  • Assist residents with housing navigation, benefits acquisition, educational/vocational referrals, financial empowerment, behavioral/health referrals, goal setting, life skills, and establishing personal support networks.
  • Promptly enter documentation into Salesforce, HMIS, and other tracking systems for grant reporting.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of client interactions.
  • Follow up on service applications and conduct intakes for new clients.
  • Communicate with partner agencies and professionals to enhance client services.
  • Adhere to Family Tree’s Continuous Improvement Practice, including client support tools, feedback, and post-exit surveys.
  • Support volunteers, interns, and staff at Family Tree shelters.
  • Coordinate with the Program Director for shelter materials and needs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.

  • Lived or professional experience working with vulnerable populations and marginalized communities.

  • Organizational Competency: Prioritize workload, manage time, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Digital Literacy: Use Microsoft Suite, search engines, and digital platforms for communication and documentation.
  • Resourcefulness: Navigate Metro Denver community resources, voucher administration, and Medicaid billing processes.

Schedule

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week.
  • Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM (may vary based on program needs).
  • Includes afternoon, evening, and weekend hours; flexibility required.

Working Environment

  • In-office position at a 24/7/365 shelter.
  • Must have reliable daily transportation.

Physical Activities

  • Sitting/standing for long periods.
  • Talking and hearing (ordinary conversation).
  • Reading paperwork and computer screen work.
  • Manual dexterity for operating computers and telephones.
