About the role
The Care Delivery Tele Sales Agent conducts selling activities related to inbound and outbound calls within a care delivery setting. Work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. Responsibilities include:
- Converting Medicare-eligible callers to patients through telephonic conversations
- Proactively anticipating member needs and questions to provide guidance and stellar customer service
- Effectively describing services offered and selling prospective patients on the clinical care model
- Documenting and modifying contact notes across multiple CRM systems to properly record interactions with prospects and patients
- Understanding department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas
- Originating calls from leads as needed
- Making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, with minimal direction and guidance where needed
- Ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while working independently
- Following established guidelines and procedures
Requirements
- Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to connect meaningfully with customers to build emotional engagement and customer advocacy
- Simplify complexity and integrate internal efforts to deliver an optimal customer experience
- Comfort working in a telephonic intensive environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Telephonic sales experience
- Understanding of value-based primary care and/or Medicare Advantage
- Bilingual in English/Spanish with the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages without limitations or assistance
Work at Home Requirements
- Self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria: at minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps; wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.
Travel
While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay
The pay range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
$40,600 - $55,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
