About the role
The Branch Manager in Training (BMIT) position is a performance-based, hands-on, customer-focused role responsible for delivering results related to individual and branch sales goals as well as customer expectations. This position requires compliance with all federal and state regulations and adherence to company policies, procedures, and practices. The BMIT role is developmental, intended to lead to a Branch Sales Manager position.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service, Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition:
- Actively assist in meeting the Branch’s performance metrics as defined by management.
- Utilize sales tools to provide an exceptional customer experience and drive new customer growth through sales and marketing techniques.
- Responsible for day-to-day servicing of a consumer loan portfolio.
- Present financial solutions based on customer needs.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships throughout the loan process and lifecycle.
- Educate customers on loan terms and conditions.
- Build trust with customers and staff by embodying the company’s philosophy and core values.
- Deploy and track community marketing efforts to generate sales and customer growth.
- Operations, Compliance, & Collections:
- Assist in managing the P&L to meet budgeted goals.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate cash controls and security procedures.
- Enter customer and transaction information accurately into the point of sale system.
- Perform and document collection calls, field visits, and other approved collection activities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Team & Leadership:
- Work closely with and support others in a positive, team environment.
- Responsible for day-to-day branch operations and communication with customers and employees under the supervision of the Branch Sales Manager and Divisional Director of Operations (DDO).
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Experience: Sales and/or customer service experience required. One year of experience in sales, retail, banking, or collections preferred.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong math skills, including cash handling.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, evaluate, and apply complex information.
- Ability to work independently and interact professionally.
- Negotiation skills for payment terms and loan requirements.
- Understanding of compliance with industry policies, procedures, and laws.
- Proficiency in computer programs for processing customer transactions.
- Maintain composure in stressful situations.
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
- Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods; occasional sitting, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs.; occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
- Access to insured, reliable transportation for tasks including banking, marketing, and staffing coverage.
- Exposure to outdoor elements and cleaning chemicals.
- Typing, data entry, and use of office equipment.
- Ability to travel and be physically present at any center within the division.
- Valid driver’s license and access to insured, reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel within the division for marketing, collections, staffing, special events, and banking.
- Must be 18 years or older (19 in AL), eligible to work in the USA, and able to pass post-offer screens including criminal background check, MVR, credit check (if required by state law), and reference check.
