About the role

The Assessment Specialist (BCBA) at Children’s Specialized ABA is responsible for conducting initial assessments throughout New Jersey and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment results. This role works closely alongside families, ensuring a smooth process during the assessment stage.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all necessary paperwork for insurance to obtain authorizations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments (Functional Behavior Assessments FBAs), skills assessments) to identify target behaviors.
  • Complete 3 assessments per week.
  • Submit all paperwork by deadlines as specified by the Company.
  • Develop behavior intervention (BIPs) based on assessment results.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information including client records (HIPAA laws), personnel information and other relevant issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in NJ
  • Completion of BCBA supervision training.

Qualifications

  • Experience in ABA therapy preferred.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and experience equity.

Schedule

This is a hybrid work setting with two (2) days per week required onsite. Only 24 billable hours required!
