About the role

Your daily work will involve:
- Proactively calling and taking calls from new and existing insurance and investment clients, with the goal of providing holistic advice
- Engaging with individual insurance and investment clients over the phone and through digital tools; focusing on identifying needs and recommending solutions aligned with their goals
- Assessing clients' financial needs and recommending an appropriate investment and/or insurance solution to meet those needs
- Helping clients be 'retirement ready' through the use of planning tools
- Conducting investment risk assessments and providing solutions aligned with their investment profile
- Working closely with Branch Manager and support teams to stay current on product and regulatory updates
- Maintaining registration and licensing in good standing as an MFDA Dealing representative across all provinces and territories in Canada
- Contributing to the team’s ongoing success by identifying continuous improvement opportunities to help improve the client experience, and products and services offered

Requirements
Requirements include:
- A bachelor degree or 2+ years of relevant experience
- Valid sales and service experience (preferably in mutual fund sales)
- Strong knowledge and passion of retail investment products
- Experience doing business over the phone
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Mutual Fund Industry, Compliance, and Dealer Operations practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong relationship building skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Adaptable and resourceful
- Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide
- A valid and active Mutual Fund License (CIRO), or courses completed (IFIC or CSC certification), allowing you to obtain the license immediately following the hire
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified Specialist in Personal Finance (Fin. Pl.) designation
- Experience in blended or outbound Call Centre or telephone servicing
- Ability to leverage digital tools to create engaging client interactions
- Ability to use Salesforce.com for client relationship management

Salary Range: $58,000 - $93,000 annually
In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
