Description Description THE JOB: The Bike Shop / Recreation Attendant at Jekyll Island Club Resort is an important member of our Recreation team, helping create fun, memorable, and welcoming experiences for our resort guests and families. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the daily operation of our bike shop and recreation activities, providing friendly and attentive service while assisting guests with bicycle rentals, recreation equipment, activities, and general information about the resort and Jekyll Island. As a Bike Shop / Recreation Attendant, you will greet and engage with guests, assist with bike rentals and returns, properly fit bicycles and safety equipment, explain rental procedures and basic safety guidelines, maintain rental equipment, and keep the bike shop clean, organized, and ready for guests. You will also help answer questions about bike trails, resort amenities, recreation offerings, and activities throughout the island. Beyond the bike shop, you may assist with a variety of resort recreation activities and special events, including setting up and breaking down activities, organizing recreation equipment, engaging with children and families, and helping create an enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. Safety and guest service are an important part of this position. The Recreation Attendant is expected to monitor equipment and recreation areas, communicate safety guidelines to guests, and promptly report any equipment concerns or unsafe conditions to leadership. This is a hands-on, guest-facing position for someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, meeting new people, and creating memorable experiences.
