Bike Patrol Security Officer (Part Time)

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, residents, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at government-related locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, sidewalks, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and public spaces, assist with directions and general inquiries, and document activities, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence, consistent patrols, and timely communication with supervisors and site representatives.

Requirements

• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time (preferred)
• Customer service experience (preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Pay

$17.25 per hour

Schedule

Monday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM; Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
