Responsibilities
- Attend all three 6-hour summer work sessions (18 hours total)
- Participate in Wayfinder training
- Co-create lesson themes aligned with the school calendar
- Help design and execute the “Welcome Back” student experience
- Develop and finalize at least 4–5 Big Red lessons before September
- Collaborate on the creation of a student accountability tool
Duties During the School Year
- Serve in Big Red Leadership as an assigned duty
- Hold monthly check-ins with designated CILs to report progress and challenges
- Meet once per cycle with the full Big Red Leader team during common PLC time
- Co-create new lessons, revise materials, and troubleshoot delivery or engagement issues
- Act as a resource for grade-level base camp teachers, ensuring lessons are accessible on time and align with the MOU
- Implement and maintain the accountability tool to track student engagement weekly
- Conduct observations of Big Red Lessons during Base Camp periods to assess Student engagement Lesson effectiveness
- Brainstorm and test methods to gather staff feedback on student experience, accountability, and lesson quality
- Use data and feedback to make continuous improvements to the Big Red program
