Bid Coordinator
The Bid Coordinator will take ownership of coordinating and delivering technically robust, commercially competitive and compliant tenders across RJ Power Networks’ HV/LV projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, attention to detail and an ability to integrate inputs from engineering, estimating, SHEQ and commercial teams to produce winning proposals.
Previous experience in estimating for ICP or utility infrastructure projects
Experience coordinating and producing technical/commercial bids
Understanding of HV/LV networks or electrical engineering
Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and tender documents
Strong writing skills for method statements and technical narratives
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management
Familiarity with NEC/JCT forms of contract
Familiarity with construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors
Relevant technical or construction-related qualification
Responsibilities
Take ownership of the bid lifecycle from receipt of enquiry through to submission
Interpret tender documentation, identify deliverables and communicate requirements to internal stakeholders
Work closely with estimators, engineers and commercial staff to develop accurate, compliant, and technically sound bids
Prepare technical method statements, delivery strategies and supporting documents, drawing on subject-matter experts as needed
Lead bid programme planning, coordinating inputs to ensure deadlines are met
Audit client specifications, standards, and pre-construction information to ensure submissions are technically compliant
Identify commercial and contractual risks during the bid stage and escalate appropriately
Collate project delivery evidence, case studies and technical data to strengthen proposals
Develop and maintain a structured library of technical responses, CVs and project references
Support client clarifications, presentations and interviews following submission
Act as a central point of contact for bid queries, driving accountability across the bid team
