Bi Developer

Responsibilities

• Modeling, designing, developing, and testing Power BI semantic layers, reports, and dashboards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with presentation skills using data visualizations for effective storytelling.
• Ability to quickly understand data, relationships, and meaning from a business perspective.
• Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
• Power BI Semantic layer data modeling and development.
• Wireframe, design, develop, test, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements, using design standards and compelling visualizations.
• Advance knowledge of data visualization techniques and understanding of what visuals are most effective for the data at hand.
• High level understanding and experience working with relational databases.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Power Query skills and experience (merging, appending, and transforming datasets).
• Intermediate to advanced M experience (using M to shape and create custom logic and applied transformations).
• Intermediate to advanced DAX experience (ability to create a wide array of complex custom columns and measures to transform data into required business metrics).
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Power BI Service (publishing reports, scheduling automated refreshes, troubleshooting refresh failures).
• Demonstrable understanding of general Power BI standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Power BI development experience
• Minimum 3 years working in MS Azure environments and SQL databases
• Minimum 5 years of working with SQL
