About the role

The Assistant Cheer Coach position at Baker High School is available for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is open until filled.

Responsibilities

  • Support the head cheer coach in planning and executing cheerleading practices and competitions.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all rules and regulations.
  • Work closely with the athletic department to promote the school’s athletic programs.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Cheer Coach in a high school setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cheerleading techniques and choreography.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits

  • Total compensation range: $3,829 to $4,756 for the school year.
  • Placement on the Extra Duty Salary Schedule is dependent upon paid school district experience as a Cheer Coach.

Schedule

  • Hours are determined by the needs of the program and may vary.

District Policy

The district's policy is to provide veterans and disabled veterans with preference as required by law.
