Job Summary
Captures and oversees the plan of care and service delivery for behavioral health consumers across the continuum of illness; promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources; collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Details of the position
- Provides individual, family, group and multi-family group therapy to patients with complex diagnostic presentations and treatment needs.
- Provides clinical leadership to team of masters’ and bachelors’ level clinical and student interns.
- Affirms and implements a comprehensive plan of care through an interdisciplinary team process in conjunction with the patient and their self-identified natural supports.
- Evaluates and provides interventions to improve a patient’s cognitive, social, vocational, spiritual, and emotional functioning, utilizing natural and community supports when possible.
- Performs urgent/crisis evaluations, interventions, and safety planning.
- Together with consumer and natural supports, identifies key problems, strengths and resources to be addressed in the treatment plan.
- May provide case management, coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services, outreach and engagement.
What you bring
- Master's Degree Required: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Minimum of 3 years Required: Experience in behavioral health.
- Experience in diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex mental health conditions.
- Preferred: Experience providing clinical supervision to bachelors’ and masters’ level clinicians.
- Upon Hire: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker-Washington for jobs based in Washington or Mental Health Counselor License - Washington for jobs based in Washington or Marriage and Family Therapist Licensure- Washington for jobs based in Washington.
- Upon Hire: Basic Life Support.
Skills
- Interpersonal skills to obtain and interpret information appropriate to patients’ needs and age as required for assessment range of treatment, and patient care.
- Proficiency with DSM-5 diagnoses and best practice treatment interventions for a variety of behavioral health conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and patient/family centered work environment.
- Knowledge and adherence to ethical guidelines for behavioral health clinical practice.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and documenting in electronic medical records.
- Effective prioritization skills.
Working Conditions
- Lifting Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.
- Bend/ twist/ reach/ push/ pull occasionally.
- Lift/Carry: Occasionally up to 5 lbs.
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
- Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting or in office environment.
Mental/Visual
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Pay
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $42.06 – $69.41. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Hiring bonus may be available!
Schedule
Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.
