About the role

A BeyondTrust Password Safe SME (Subject Matter Expert) is a senior-level PAM specialist responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade Privileged Access Management solutions, ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, installation, and configuration of BeyondTrust Password Safe and related PAM infrastructure (on-premises or cloud)
• Perform appliance security updates, version upgrades, hotfixes, and routine maintenance; monitor PAM environment health and set up automated alerting
• Onboard privileged accounts and assets (Windows, Linux, applications) into Password Safe; create Smart Rules, address groups, and directory queries
• Connect PAM with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, LDAP, SIEM, SSO, and ServiceNow
• Automate administrative tasks via scripting; generate PAM KPI/metric reports
• Support external audits (SOX, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR) and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
• Provide end-user and admin support, resolve issues, and document processes/runbooks
• Train staff, create documentation, and assist in service transition or knowledge transfer initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) concepts
• Proven experience with BeyondTrust Password Safe and PRA/EPM tools
• Strong skills in Active Directory, LDAP, Windows, Linux, and database platforms
• Experience with SAML, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and group policy management
• BeyondTrust BCIE or equivalent certification; CISSP, CISA, CISM desirable
• Analytical/problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
• Regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, life sciences) or Big 4 consulting background preferred
