Responsibilities
- Ensures excellent customer service for every guest, every time.
- Ensures that bartenders are using correct beverage recipe procedures.
- Acts as working supervisor and performs bartender duties when necessary.
- Estimates and orders liquors, wines, or other beverages, and supplies.
- Conducts monthly inventory and extends them with current pricing.
- Manages the day-to-day operation of Bar in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety policies and procedures.
- Verifies validity of casino complimentary slips for the food and beverage check.
- Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.
- Hires and trains Tribal Members consistent with the casino’s Community and Indian Preference guidelines.
- Communicates with Main Liquor Room employees in the proper movement and accurate receiving and accounting of product.
- Coaches, develops, mentors, and evaluates team members through ongoing feedback, performance discussions, and documented coaching.
- Enforces PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance regulations to protect card holder data and adhere to the standards to protect the guests’ private card information.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Liquor Laws as pertaining to casino operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; minimum of three (3) years of bar, casino, or hospitality experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role required.
- Experience in a high-volume beverage operation required.
- Possess and maintain a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.
- Possess and maintain a valid Arizona Title 4 Certification.
- Computer literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using POS system; InfoGenesis preferred.
- Working knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
- Strong guest service, communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of basic restaurant cashiering procedures, tray service and beverage ingredients.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with inventory control, ordering, and POS systems.
- Able to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
- Able to work quickly and accurately in stressful situations and maintain a positive customer service attitude.
- Able to work a flexible schedule and be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
