About the role
As the beverage supervisor at the resort restaurants, you'll be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the front-of-house team. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you'll assist in training and providing team oversight with a focus on the resort beverage programs. With a passion for guest service, you'll lead the team in the creation of memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager to ensure outstanding customer service and profitability within the Restaurant operations daily
- Aid in ordering wine, beer and spirits
- This is a bar/beverage position within a fine dining restaurant
- Comply with all Liquor and Labor regulations
- Reinforce department and company standards through training including all Everline policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Understand POS system (InfoGenesis), update changes and train staff in its use
- Manage restaurant reservations
- Supervise the correct use of supplies, materials, and equipment
- Attend all meetings required of Department Leaders
- Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
- Assist in the development and execution of new promotions, events, etc.
- Ensure service standards are met
- Monitor Revinate scores, share with team and ensure service standards are met
- Adjust daily staffing levels as appropriate
- Provide prompt follow-up to all guest concerns
- Touch tables in all outlets to strengthen guest relations
- Maintain a safe and pleasant work environment
- Assist in managing Outlet F&B storage
- Recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate of team members to management
- Resolve guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
- Offer warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests of Everline Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
- Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Interact with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
- Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- At least three years of fine dining food and beverage experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- At least 2 years of supervision in a hospitality setting
- Sommelier and Cicerone Certifications and mixology experience a plus
- Provide valid food handlers and RBS from California within 30 days of hire
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequently carry, lift, push or pull up to 25lbs, occasionally lift 50lbs
- Bend and move intermittently
- Use fingers to grasp, move or assemble very small objects
- Balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to an indoor and outdoor working environment and noise level in the workplace is usually moderate to high
- Exposure to computer, POS systems, handheld devices, phones and household cleaning supplies
