About the role

Beverage Servers provide friendly, excellent service to all guests in dining establishments, lounges, showrooms, banquet halls, pools, hotel rooms, and gaming floors. They ensure that all designated work areas, flatware, glasses, dinnerware, and other items used to serve customers are free from hazards.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests, presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and beverages.
  • Serves meals and/or beverages to patrons, writes orders on checks or memorizes them, relays orders to kitchen and service bars, garnishes and decorates dishes, and serves courses.
  • Totals bills and accepts payment or refers patrons to cashiers.
  • Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Ensures designated work areas, flatware, glasses, dinnerware, and other items used to serve customers are free from hazards (e.g., chips, breaks, liquid on the floor).
  • Performs bottle service according to mandated steps of service.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Credit Card Compliance requirements and follows PCI regulations to protect cardholder data.
  • Enforces applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, as it pertains to this position.
  • Ensures designated work areas, flatware, glasses, dinnerware, and other items used to serve customers are free from hazards (e.g., chips, breaks, liquid on the floor).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; previous serving experience required; related experience in a medium to high volume restaurant strongly preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge using electronic point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Food and Beverage Servers must be at least 19 years old to serve alcoholic beverages with meals.
  • Beverage (cocktail) and Pool Servers must be at least 21 years old.
  • Additional required experience at Orange Sky Outlet for Fine Dining Server: Must have 1–2 years of experience in a higher-end casual or mid-tier restaurant as a food server.
  • Additional Required Experience For Banquet Server: Must have previous experience in banquet, catering, or restaurant environment with 3-5 years of experience required as a banquet server in a hotel, resort, or country club.
  • Additional Required Experience For Room Service Server: Basic PC skills are required as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Experience using InfoGenesis a plus.
  • Must possess a Maricopa County Food Handlers Card.
  • Aziz Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification a plus.
