About the role
The Beverage Server ensures customer satisfaction by serving beverages to guests, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and providing timely, friendly service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Provide fast (10 minutes or less round time), friendly, and professional beverage service, including carrying full trays.
- Take drink orders, communicate with bartenders, assist in drink preparation, and present drinks to guests.
- Maintain clean and stocked workstations, including stocking coffee, glasses, sugar, cream, and dispensers.
- Handle money according to procedure and monitor guest alcohol consumption, intervening as needed.
- Resolve guest complaints and service problems according to guidelines.
- Promote casino events, programs, and Total Rewards Center sign-up initiatives.
- Collaborate with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, supervisors, and other team members.
- Provide personalized service, using guests' names and addressing their needs.
- Perform side work at assigned stations and keep areas free of glasses and bottles.
- Serve as an ambassador of goodwill at customer and public relations functions, including appearing in publicity photos.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines, regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Perform any other assigned tasks or duties.
Requirements
- Stand and walk continuously with a tray weighing up to 20 lbs throughout the shift.
- Lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Work in extreme heat during summer months.
- Stand for the entire shift.
- Access service areas when picking up beverage orders.
- Converse over the telephone in loud environments with background noise.
- Stoop, bend, and reach as needed.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity for writing orders, preparing drinks, and handling garnishes.
- Listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
- Manage the demands of multiple customers simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years or older.
- One year of high-volume cocktail experience.
- One year of customer service experience in a role focused on direct customer interaction.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to initiate and engage in professional and friendly conversation.
- Professional and pleasant appearance that guests find approachable.
- Ability to work any day of the week, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work well with coworkers and function as part of a team.
- Well-groomed appearance.
- Knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients.
- Schedule flexibility.
Pay
Hourly rate: $6.76 per hour plus tips.
