About the role
The Beverage Equipment Fountain Install Tech is responsible for installing, removing, and maintaining fountain, coffee, tea, frozen drink, coolers, and other equipment to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install fountain, coffee, tea, coolers, and frozen drink equipment in new and existing accounts, accurately accounting for all Pepsi-owned assets while meeting customer expectations.
- Install plumbing and electrical cross connects, including running tubing through walls, ceilings, basements, crawl spaces, conduits, and attics.
- Provide “Service that Sells” by working with customers to meet their needs and keeping them informed of progress.
- Clean and remove all debris from customer locations.
- Troubleshoot and inspect fountain equipment installations, adjusting valves, carbonators, controls, and gauges as needed.
- Safely load and unload equipment onto trucks, inspecting all inbound/outbound equipment for safety and defects.
- Complete administrative tasks, including customer billing, equipment move orders, parts replenishment, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR), install checklists, and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Ensure necessary materials and supplies are ordered and available at all times.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines for fountain equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience or knowledge in beverage equipment repair or related fields (small appliance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration). Coursework in these fields may substitute for experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet PBV driving guidelines.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical prior to the first day of employment.
- Ability to travel daily to assigned accounts; overnight travel may be required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Understanding of electrical components, plumbing, board-level schematics, electronics troubleshooting, mechanics, and refrigeration preferred.
- Knowledge of vending and fountain equipment repairs and parts.
- Familiarity with security operations for protecting people, data, property, and institutions preferred.
- Ability to use SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to learn quickly.
- Coaching capabilities and ability to train others preferred.
