About the Role
The Assistant Beverage Manager oversees day-to-day operations within the casino beverage, bars, and lounges for Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This position manages and provides oversight to Supervisors and hourly team members across multiple outlets.
Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptional customer service at every interaction.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships on behalf of Dreamscape-Rio Las Vegas.
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards within all restaurants and Food and Beverage spaces.
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure elevated guest service standards.
- Assess and communicate operational opportunities with Food and Beverage leadership.
- Oversee the cleaning and organization of all bars, lounges, and beverage storage areas.
- Assist with proper ordering and inventory in all areas of oversight.
- Understand financial performance and analytic metrics in all areas of oversight.
- Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position works directly with operational teams and oversees hourly team members.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of progressive Beverage operations experience.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Strong organizational skills, solution-driven, and analytical thinker.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to sell new ideas/strategies at all organizational levels.
- Proactive with attention to detail.
- Able to set priorities, manage work schedules, and meet department deadlines.
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- At least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large teams in both bargaining and non-bargaining environments.
- Technical knowledge of Food and Beverage management systems (InfoGenesis, Kronos, Stratton Warren, Workday).
- Technical knowledge of data analytics systems.
Certifications & Licenses
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas, including confined spaces.
Working Conditions
Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and may be exposed to environmental factors such as noise, dust, and smoke.
