Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and service timepieces in line with the brand specific guidelines
  • Expected to generate a minimum of two complete services per day
  • Test timepieces for accuracy and performance
  • Visually check all components for damage
  • Perform movement and bracelet adjustments
  • Handle day-to-day operations including:
    • Diagnosis
    • Description of piece condition
    • Identification of problem root causes
    • Selecting appropriate service based on client request
    • Identifying spare parts needed for repairs
  • Dismantle timepieces
  • Remove straps or bracelets and separate movement/dial/hands from case components
  • Prepare case components for encasing the movement
  • Ensure case waterproofness
  • Use or develop tools to correct issues during repair process
  • Resolve issues related to spare parts if necessary
  • Casing, polishing, and quality control
  • Polish and refinish to vendor's specifications
  • Install dial and hands before closing the watch
  • Perform initial quality control to ensure the piece functions correctly
  • Maintain and organize the workshop

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Confident and accurate work capability
  • Highly organized and capable of managing workload
  • Collaborative working ability
  • Ability to work under pressure with high accuracy
  • One year of technical school training or 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Experience diagnosing both quartz and mechanical timepieces
  • Basic verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to repair and refinish cases and bracelets (a plus)
  • Experience with escapement and hairspring adjustments
  • Flexible and team-oriented work ethic
  • Good organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred
  • Ability to sit for extended periods required

Education

  • High school diploma required, some college preferred
  • SAWTA, WOSTEP, or CW21 certification or similar

Experience

  • Experience working in high-end luxury timepieces for 3-5 years, preferred

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Open from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday
  • 40-hour workweek, may require overtime
