BESS Project Manager I
About the role
Project Manager for a 1 year contract role on behalf of our client. Our Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Juno Beach, FL. This position is responsible for daily project coordination of internal and external resources to support Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction activities from pre-construction (Early Stage) up to the point of Construction for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the Engineering and Construction Business Unit (E&C).
Key Responsibilities
- Cook up with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection to make sure all project variables are found and included.
- Make the project's technical scope better to improve both technical and financial feasibility.
- Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.
- Support development teams with jurisdictional needs.
- Cook up engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements.
- Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes to develop designs.
- Support the E&C cost estimating team for development of financial model.
- Seek out and use market data to ensure financial model is healthy.
- Present financial model to respective business unit(s) and actively manage financial model through executive budget approvals.
- Competitively source, negotiate, and complete commercial contracts for critical services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
- Contribute to multiple software applications to support your activities, manage critical data and deliverables, and report on important indicators.
- Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives to scale for growth.
- Regularly present/brief on current progress, issues, and risk mitigation in meetings with various levels of management.
- Ensure the Construction Project Manager can take over projects moving to the Construction stage with an inclusive and executable construction plan.
- Report to your manager and team with frequent updates.

- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 4+ years

Our estimate for the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, is $30.00/hr-$35.00/hr.
