BESS Fire Alarm Technician - (San Antonio, TX)

Responsibilities

• Maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Program and test fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, including diagnosing and repairing faulty components.
• Collaborate with customers to customize fire alarm system settings based on their specific needs.
• Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in fire alarm system technology.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Valid Texas FAL (Fire Alarm Technician License) is required.
• Familiarity with NFPA (70, 72, and 101) requirements for fire alarm system installation and testing.
• Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for alarm system installation.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and repairs.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems.
• Ability to detect and resolve problems with cabling and wiring connections.
• Comfortable reading and working from technical diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
