About the role

Coordinates and organizes the grief support program and services provided by the center in Hospice. Acts as the main coordinator of the volunteers, medical staff and others who are working with the bereaved. Applies substantial knowledge and experience to perform a wide range of advanced activities and/or determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals; serves as working supervisor for team or work group. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses needs, offers counseling, provides guidance and explains the services of the bereavement program to the patient(s) and/or families of the bereaved
  • Organizes and coordinates the services provided by the program, such as arranging counseling, scheduling support groups, providing information on funeral and memorial services, and other bereavement services
  • Creates bereavement materials and documents bereavement services given to clients
  • Collaborates and communicates with the bereavement team members, families, service providers, and community at large
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Five years' relevant experience: Preferred

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $22.88 to $34.29. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
