Contract, onsite role in Philadelphia, PA.

About the role

This position involves assessing patient eligibility for insurance and other healthcare access supports. The role is crucial for patient access to specialty care and medications, as well as the fiscal sustainability of the Wellness Center.

Responsibilities

• Complete sliding fee applications annually and as needed.
• Screen uninsured patients for Medicaid and Affordable Care Act Health plans eligibility.
• Act as Front Desk Receptionist when necessary.
• Support referral coordinator with referral submission and management.
• Verify daily electronic eligibility reports.
• Assist patients with Medicaid/Marketplace/Medicare applications.
• Schedule and recruit new patients for the Wellness Center.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or more than 2 years' experience in a similar health center setting.
• Strong computer and organizational skills; Excel proficiency preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with patients with histories of homelessness, mental illness, substance dependence, and trauma is helpful.
• Ability to speak a second language other than English preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay

$21.65–$24.00 per hour.
