About the Role
Responsible for managing and administering employee benefit plans including enrollments, changes, and terminations according to plan provisions. Maintains employee benefit records and processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping, proper benefit coverage, and deduction coding.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day administration of employee benefits requests, issues, and resolutions, including assisting employees with the self-service portal.
- Counsel employees on plan provisions and administrative procedures to help them make informed benefit-related decisions across all levels of the organization.
- Serve as a resource to payroll, employees, recruiters, and HR Business Partners to ensure understanding of benefits, HR policies, and regulations.
- Facilitate the FML, STD, and LTD processes for managers, employees, and the FML vendor.
- Act as a point of contact to ensure employee understanding of benefit programs by generating communication and counseling employees/dependents as situations arise.
- Provide resolutions to employee complaints related to health and welfare plans; refer complex complaints to management as needed.
- Act as a liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.
- Perform HRIS data entry and system maintenance, including processing employee transactions and coordinating HRIS processes.
- Troubleshoot system errors and facilitate system processes in coordination with the IS team and carrier representatives.
- Process monthly billings from insurance providers, review for accuracy, and resolve discrepancies with carriers or payroll.
- Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and preparation of annual compliance reports.
- Provide feedback and plan analysis to drive positive results for future benefit strategies.
- Conduct New Hire Benefit Orientation presentations and Q&A sessions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years in Human Resources employee benefits administration.
- Knowledge and experience with HRIS systems and workflow processes.
- Knowledge of large comprehensive medical, dental, STD, LTD, FML, Flex Spending accounts, life insurance plans, retirement, and 401k plans.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Schedule
Full-time, day shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
