About the role
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our team at Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH). ISBH is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization serving Southeastern and Central Ohio. The Benefits Specialist assists with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Assists with new-hire orientations.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA & BWC.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
- Assists with the open enrollment process.
- Administers the tuition reimbursement & CEU programs.
- Administers the vehicle lease program.
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
- Monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices
- Travel within designated service area
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education/Licensure: High school degree or GED equivalent is required. Bachelors degree in human resources related fields is required. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification credential preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years experience in benefits administration required. 1-2 years experience administering FMLA and other leave programs required.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of employee benefits leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written is required. Minimum of Intermediate level Excel skills. Excellent organizational skills are required. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required. An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required. Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required. Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required. Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection is required. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times is required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $56,208.17-$64,565.51 based on experience, education, and/or licensure.
