Benefits Specialist

Visible local non-profit organization is seeking support of a Benefits Specialist to assist the HR team. Salary is $65–$90k DOE.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s benefits and wellness programs.
• Partner with the benefits broker and other key vendors to maintain strong relationships and ensure service delivery standards are met.
• Oversee all employee leave plans, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers’ compensation-related injuries, FMLA processes, short-term and long-term disability programs and administration.
• Oversee COBRA notification process including notification to new hire and terminated/separated employees.
• Oversee the management of employee benefits records, files, and reports.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure billings and invoices are reconciled and paid timely for all benefit-related programs and vendors.

Experience preferred

• Extensive experience with benefits enrollment.
• Experience with FMLA and short- and long-term disability.
• Intermediate Excel skills—ability to perform Pivot Tables is a plus, not a must.
• Keen eye for detail and disposition to work diligently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or HR Management is a plus.
