Job Duties

  • Assists with the processing and tracking of benefit premium invoices, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, supplemental and auxiliary benefits, pet insurance, COBRA, and related administrative tracking duties.
  • (Essential) Assists with benefit enrollments and payroll deduction setup in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), benefits administration platforms, and carrier/provider systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee benefit transactions.
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for visitors, employees, and benefits email inquiries; provides general benefits information, directs inquiries to the appropriate Benefits team member, and ensures timely customer service.
  • (Essential) Assists with coordinating wellness events and programs, including support for open enrollment activities.
  • (Essential) Assists with the development of benefits and wellness communications, newsletters, and other assigned projects.
  • (Essential) Assists with the administration of tuition benefit programs, including Tuition Remission and Tuition Exchange.
  • (Essential) Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience in HR, benefits administration, payroll, or a related administrative role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage benefits related data in an ERP or Benefit Administration System.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides), Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and thorough; skilled at anticipating and preventing potential problems and handling a wide variety of tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong commitment to a quality work product.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing and electronically.
  • Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced in the ability to collaborate with a variety of constituencies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, inclusion & diversity.
  • Demonstrated skill in adapting to and performing work effectively in high-volume, high accountability, confidential environment with multiple and changing priorities.
  • Effective organizational, logistical, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, prioritize and fulfill the functions of an office in a timely manner.
