About the role
The Benefits Coordinator will support the administration of employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries. Key responsibilities include administering employee benefits programs, assisting with benefit enrollment, coordinating new hire benefit enrollments, maintaining accurate employee benefits records, and resolving benefits-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefit plans.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, eligibility, plan changes, and benefits-related questions.
- Cook up new hire benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment activities.
- Maintain accurate employee benefits records and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
- Partner with benefit vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve benefits-related issues.
- Process and monitor leave of absence requests and related documentation as needed.
- Support benefits audits, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
- Aid in employee communications and educational materials regarding benefit programs.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in benefits administration or a related Human Resources role.
- Knowledge of employee benefit programs, enrollment processes, and benefits administration best practices.
- Experience working within HRIS platforms and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience with Dayforce is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
