Benefits Coordinator

About the role

Our client is a growing, mid-sized organization seeking a Benefits Coordinator to join their Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting employees, coordinating benefit programs, and working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure benefits are administered accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Cook up the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
• The Benefits Coordinator will serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and assist with benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and coverage changes
• Work with insurance carriers, brokers, and vendors to resolve benefit issues and ensure timely processing of enrollments and terminations
• Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and assist with discrepancy resolution
• Maintain accurate employee benefits information within the HRIS system and ensure payroll deductions are processed correctly
• Support annual open enrollment by preparing materials, coordinating communications, and assisting employees with benefit selections
• Ensure benefits administration complies with company policies and applicable regulations
• Prepare reports and maintain benefit records and documentation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of benefits administration or benefits coordination experience
• Experience working with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators
• HRIS experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality
• Experience supporting self-insured medical plans is a plus but not required
