About the role
As the General Manager at Buddy’s, you will have full responsibility for all departments of a Buddy’s unit, focusing on maximizing guest satisfaction and profit development. This role ensures high standards of customer service, product quality, and cleanliness while working a minimum of 5 days/50 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all unit operations during scheduled shifts, including decision-making, staff support, and guest interaction.
- Manage staff labor, breaks, and cash handling procedures.
- Conduct daily pre-shift briefings for staff.
- Provide continuous direction to staff to ensure operational and procedural compliance.
- Complete all accounting reports as instructed by the General Manager.
- Monitor and analyze unit sales and labor reports to identify operational opportunities.
- Create and implement plans to address department goals and store objectives.
- Ensure accuracy of line checks throughout all shifts.
- Foster a positive work environment to maximize employee morale, productivity, and development.
- Maintain a safe work environment to reduce the risk of injuries and accidents.
- Oversee deliveries to confirm proper products and billing.
- Manage guest inquiries, concerns, and requests, including approving comps, promos, and credits.
Leadership Duties
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure proper usage of communication tools such as pre-shifts, Red Book, evaluations, and documentation.
- Conduct employee reviews and evaluations.
- Provide employees with positive and constructive feedback, including disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ensure all employees adhere to Buddy’s uniform policy and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a general management role in a full-service restaurant.
- Proficiency in leadership, communication, staff mentoring, and operational quality.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of employment law and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
- Solid computer skills.
