Bellman/Valet

Responsibilities

• Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage, and offers information about available services and facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
• Inspects guest rooms to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.
• Explains features of the room such as operation of radio, television, night-lock, and how to place telephone calls.
• Pages guests in lobby, dining room, or other parts of the hotel.
• Delivers messages and runs errands.
• Delivers room service orders.
• Picks up articles for laundry and valet service.
• Calls taxis for guests.
• Transports guests about premises or local areas in a car or motorized cart.
• Keeps a record of calls for service.
• Delivers packages, suitcases, and trunks, and sets up sample rooms.
• Cleans lobby (ashtrays, dry mop, trash, etc.).
• Cleans and vacuums inside of the vans a minimum of once a day.
• Assists in picking up room service trays from halls around the property.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Sufficient education and/or literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required—with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
