Behavioral Specialist

About the role

Lifesteps, a Western PA non-profit agency, is recruiting for a Full-time Behavior Specialist to support adults with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs a functional assessment and develops strategies to support a participant accordingly.
• Provides on-site training to participants, staff, parents and caregivers and monitors participant success.
• Develops effective behavior support plans to be utilized by the care team and evaluates participant progress.

Qualifications

• Required: Master’s Degree in Human Services or a closely related field.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Current driver’s license.
• PREFERRED: Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis and experience working with adults with an intellectual disability.

Benefits

The role involves daytime work from Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
